Rainbow Bridge

Welcome to the Rainbow Bridge pages.  Here you will find pictures of some of our beloved pets that have crossed over.  Thank you to all who have allowed us to include your own loved animals that have crossed the bridge.  If you would like to have your Beardie (or even if your pet isn't a Beardie) memorialized here, just drop me a note at beardiepaw@charter.net

If tears could build a stairway,

And memories a lane,

I'd walk right up to Heaven

And bring you home again.

Kitt ( Ch Brigadoon's Hot 'N Spicy HCT, HIT)

Our beloved Kitt crossed the bridge to be with her Great Grandpa Murphy, and brother Toby. We miss her so much. Here she is at the Rennaissance Festival dressed as Alpha Wench.

Murphy CH and Canadian CH Brigadoon Something Special ROM, CGC, HCT 1987-2001

Murphy was my first Beardie and I love him dearly. Even after all this time, the grief is sharp. I can only wish his kind of love on everyone else in the world. He is with his "gramma", my mother who passed shortly before he did. Rough year, that one.

Toby Bearsbane 1996 (?) - 2005

We rescued Toby when we lived in Montana, thanks to long distance friends, Sam and Karen. Thank you forever.

A few weeks later, he helped chase 3 bears from our home late one night, mostly by virtue of his LOUD bark and ferocious snarling. He has always been my hero. He left us suddenly, without warning, but is still here in spirit. We love you, Toby

Toby Bearsbane

Travelling to Pennsylvania to visit Aunt Debbie.

Rudy Doody

Rudy Doody found us when he was about 1 year old. He was such a soft hearted soul, and in his 12 years he had fought and won a bout with hemolytic anemia with the help of chemotherapy medications. We also nearly 'lost' him a few years ago when he got out of the fenced in yard and ate some form of poison, he pulled through that!

He went to Rainbow Bridge on September 1st 2007 after losing a battle with anal cancer, he had a good life and he gave us and so many others lots of love and left us with happy memories. He is missed so much and his 3 brothers and sister miss him too.

Rudys nicknames were Rudy Doody and RooRoo.

Bless his heart, XXXXXXXX

Mikey 1998-2007

We understand you were called to leave; but our hearts break.... too soon, too soon. Mikey we feel you everywhere. Are you here - there.... or do minds trick mere mortals?

But.... souls do dwell where hearts and feelings do not......and remember that spirits connect forever. We smile and know we will be together, in time. You are such a good boy,

Mikey....our sweet boy, forever. 1998-2007

Chevy Cat

Chevy Cat was found toddling down the main street where we used to live when she was about 2 months old. She was always a bit of a loner but she loved Phil (Barbara too). Feisty little thing for her size, only 7lbs. She trilled when she was happy. She would run upstairs and it sounded like a herd of elephants! Missed by Barbara and Phil.

Zach

Zach had to leave his family for the bridge at approximately 12 years of age and here you see him in his British garden. He was a sweet spirit, and is sadly missed by his family, Sharon and Ernie. He had been rescued and lived a good life...all dogs without families should be so lucky.

Zach's message

Zach's family went away on a trip after I communicated with him. When they got home, they had trouble booting up the computer, Zach's picture, which is the background, showed this message. No one had access to the house, and his owners swear it is real. After having talked to Zach, I believe.

Harry

Harry left for the Rainbow Bridge in October 3, 2004 at the age of 7 years. Too early for a loving Beardie to leave his family, but he developed Lymphoma and had to go. He is bouncing happily with other Beardie friends over on that side.

To Harry, a Beardie

Harry starred as "Sandy" in two productions of "Annie the Musical" in local theater in his UK home. He was also a Pet Therapy dog, visiting Nursing homes and Hospice, doing what all good Beardies do, bring love and kisses and joy. He is missed by his family very much, and will never be forgotten. Sleep well, Sweet Prince. To Harry, A Beardie

Maddie (Beardie) and Morgan (Aussie)

Maddie with her Aussie sister Morgan. This was Maddie's last Easter morning as she had an incurable lung disease and left for Rainbow Bridge June 1,2005 at 2 1/2 years old. We love and miss you sweet Maddie-girl.

(Sent to us from Shayna, Maddie's human mom)

Lucy a well loved cat

Lucy passed at the fine old age of 20 years, her poor little body just wore out. Sadly missed by her family, especially, her human mom, Barbara. Just look at those eyes!

PA Piper

For those of you on BDL, here is the famous PA Piper at home resting from all his reporting labors. Still missed by humans Debbie and Gary at Peteysplace. I miss you too, Piper.

PA Piper again

Piper resting in the backwoods sunshine in the mountains of Pennsylvania (PA). Yes, the sun does manage to get that far into the boonies!

Debbie of BDL fame with Kitt the Kisser and Toby Bearsbane.

Aunt Debbie's house visiting, and mom had to have a picture, Like all bad boys, Toby couldn't resist leaning to the side. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out if the couch was crooked, and Kitt was levitating but then, I realized, my bad boy, now at the Bridge, was playing a trick on me.

MR. Steel 1983-1993

Liz and John went shopping and instead of a winter coat, they came home with an adorable Beardie puppy found in a shopping cart (not abandoned, though). John's Heart Dog who introduced the family to that famous Beardie attitude. He passed at 10 1/2 years but is still loved and missed.

Timber 4 1/2 years, passed in Dec. 2004

Timber owned Rogue, River and Tygh. (See Beardie Friends galleries). He bravedly endured 2 insulin shots a day before he developed a tumor and left for the Bridge in

Dec. 2004. There he was met by his old friends, Sherry the Lab and MR. Steel. Still very much missed by the family. Tygh still checks out his chair now and then to see if he's returned.

Fred and Sissyanne outside Peteys Place

Fred was the first Beardie I ever saw and fell in love with. He belonged to Debbie (BDL Peteysplace). With him is Sissyanne, half Border Collie and half Beardie and All PERFECT! In fact, she was Daddy's Perfect Puppy. Both much loved and still missed by Deb and Gary.

Fred at herding clinic 1995

In the picture just before this, you saw Fred sitting outside his home, you can see his beautiful groomed coat. NOW, here is what a Beardie looks like after a wonderful day chasing sheep..see that happy face? See that muddy coat? Fred passed away just a few years later.

Petey and friend Muff

" Petey's Place"

Here finally is Petey of the now famed BDL Petey's Place. He was 15 years old. This photo was taken in 1984 and he was checking out the new tub in "his" grooming shop.
